Mindfulness is the beautiful state that we enter when we are fully present and aware of what we are doing and where we are without engaging:
- We are not over reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
- We practice being the observer
- We see the movement of the breath; we feel it and we live it.
Mindfulness meditation can teach you to slow down the monkey mind. To pause between the words.
There is growing research that shows that when you reframe and retrain your mind, you are actually changing the physical structure of your brain.
While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more readily available to us when we practice on a daily basis.
Whenever you bring awareness to what you’re directly experiencing via your senses, or to your state of mind via your thoughts and emotions, you’re being mindful. And there’s growing research showing that when you train your brain to be mindful, you’re actually remodelling the physical structure of your brain.
Mindfulness meditation asks us to approach our experience with warmth and kindness, to ourselves and others.

This course for beginners will take you through the basic steps of meditation using different mindfulness techniques that you can bring home and practice on your own.
This is a 4 week, 2-hour course from 9am to 11am on Tuesdays as follows:
- Week 1: October 18th
- Week 2: October 25th
- Week 3: November 1st
- Week 4: November 8th
